- Purpose
To standardize SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) creation across all customers so that product identification, inventory tracking, and order fulfilment are accurate, consistent, and efficient within our Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- What is an SKU?
An SKU is a unique alphanumeric code assigned to each distinct product in your inventory. It helps differentiate products by size, color, packaging, or variation, and ensures no duplication or confusion during warehouse operations.
- General Rules for SKU Creation
- Uniqueness – Every product variant (size, color, flavor, pack size, etc.) must have its own SKU.
- No Special Characters – Only use letters (A–Z), numbers (0–9)Avoid spaces, slashes (/), or special characters (#, %, &, ?).
- Keep it Short & Clear – Maximum 10 characters. Easy to read and remember.
- Consistency – Use the same structure across all products.
- No Reuse – Once assigned, do not reuse old SKUs for new products.
- Align with Packaging – If an item comes in multiple pack sizes (e.g., Box of 12, Carton of 24), each must have a separate SKU.
- Recommended SKU Structure
[Company] - [Brand/Code] – [Product Type] – [Attributes] – [Pack Size]

Attriutes : Box
